BMW's 20's Wheels
Does anyone know what styles are available for 20". I'm looking for the older M style. (or any other 20's styles). Trying to find something else besides the 214's.

Felgen-Katalog - BMW-Treff - der Treffpunkt fr alle BMW-Fans und -Fahrer
Baureihe: Model [E/F -##-] Felge: Width ~ Size Bereifung: Tire size(s) OR All the BMW wheels ::: Toutes les jantes de BMW just every wheel at once. I would go for the BMW Perfomance wheels for the X5, maybe reps. Hope this helps. |
I run replica 300M rims in the winter, they're 20 in versions of the 21 in rims standard on the x6M. Love the look.

Thanks Dking05.
After looking around. I think I do like the 300M style the best for 20's. Tried looking for them on OemWheelsPlus (or something like that) from DaRipper's thread on his ride. But don't see them sold there anymore. Gregory34, where did you get yours? I'm open to replica's. Are they much heavier than OEM? Main concern is buying them from a reliable place. Considering getting the actual X6 ones and boring them out. Are there any issues related to boring out wheels to allow fitting? Do I need to do anything else besides standard install (ie: spacer, etc)? |
I got my 300Ms locally in Boston (Watertown, specifically) at Directire. They were $200 per. The quality has been great - they were Italian made (as opposed to Chinese). Not heavier than OEM, rather, significantly lighter.

Thanks Gregory. Would you happen to know if the wheels are still available at the store. How do you like them so far.
Thanks. |

Don't forget the 336's  Not to mention the gray hides the brake dust.http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...100407-2-2.jpg

Hmm, these Replicas are quiet similar to 336 then. I wonder how would these replicas look on White e70?

Thanks for everyone's input. Had to replace the brakes and tires on my car so had to decide on wheels fast and couldn't wait. So back to the 214's for me. I do like the 336's, but they just look slightly more difficult to wash.
Have 4 x 21" 128's up for sale now. If anyone is interested, PM me. Looking for local sale only. Wheels are located at dealership in Orange County. |
I agonised over thwe decision between 20" 336 and 214's. In the end I went with both. Got OEM 336's and replica 214's as spare set. The 336's look unbelievable on the car. Much more agressive but they are very difficult to clean. However as they are a darker shade than the 214's they take a bit longer to look dirty.
The other reason I decided on replica 214's is that those replicas are almost an exact match for the OEM 214's. However the replica 336's are painted black i parts where the OEM are not. They looked cheap vs OEM's. |

BMW X5 : Light-alloy wheels
There are black 214s with accents? Interesting. MVDS, how much did you pay for 336 oem? |
Well I am in Australia land of the parity dollar, yet they cost almost AUD$9000 (thats US$9000+ these days) to buy. Thankfully I purchased the 40d Sport and they ware standard. I only had to pay $150k to get the car to sit on top of them!!!! But I do feel satisfied that I have done my patriotic duty and improved our federal government coffers with Luxury car tax, GST and other misc taxes to the tune of about $50k. Oh and by the way they are soon to introduce a carbon tax that will mean I am paying even more on the exhaust smoke I blow from the $1.70 per litre ($6.65 per gallon) fuel. Tax on a tax on an tax.
The system is working beautifully. Governments are taken over by bankers. Bankers go bankrupt. Government bails bankers. Government goes bankrupt. Citizens pay more tax. Government prints money (a hidden tax called inflation). Bankers make huge profits on insider deals. Middle class get crushed by rising tax and cost of living. Economy melts down but cost of living goes parabolic. Government prints more money. Citizens protest. Government starts wars. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Ahhhhh that feels better...... |
