water in rear inner lights

My inner LED has stopped working, around £200 to fix, while I was looking at the rear lights i noticed water in both of them. I know this has been mentioned before as a problem. my car is 1 year out of warranty, do you think as it seems to be a design flaw that I could get them replaced?

Has any one drilled a small hole in to let the water drain out, my worry is the moisture mucking up the LEDS, and a little hole at the bottom, near the seal may allow drainage

I would push BMW UK on this. It is a known flaw - I had mine replaced under warranty about 18 months ago.

dont drill any holes, use thicker sealer, i had same problem before.
