Only a couple more days

My 2011X5-35d is scheduled to arrive at my dealer on Wednesday or Thursday of this week so I should be driving it by the weekend.

-Black Saphire Metallic
-Cinnamon Brown Leather
-Premium Package
-Sports Package
-Cold Weather Package
-Rear Climate Package
-Third Row Seat
-Running Boards
-Ipod/USB adaptor

Really looking forward to it, as it is replacing a 2006 LR3.

You are going to enjoy the new ride. Mine showed up 3 weeks early and I am not disappointed with the experience thus far. I now know every diesel fuel station in a 100km radius – who said you couldn’t teach an old dog new tricks

I don't blame you regarding the LR3. I owned one and I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Air suspension's compressor let me down so many times that I will never look at a Rover again in my entire life. All this while I was driving in parallel a 2001 Chevy Tahoe completely trouble-free for the first 200K miles.

If you don't mind me asking how much over invoice did you get your vehicle for? I am negotiating with the dealer right now and curious what other people we getting. Thanks

Paid $500 over invoice on my order. Couldn't find what I was looking for on a lot, so the dealer took one of it's allocated showroom builds and inserted my order in its place. Did this the Tuesday after Easter and it should arrive at the dealer tomorrow or Thursday. Amazed at how quick this went.

I liked the LR3 and didn't have many problems with it. My air suspension never gave me an issue. The HDC feature had been faulting quite a bit lately though. After my last oil change, there was about $2,500 of work maintenance suggested (including new tires) and I knew breaks wouldn't be to far away again either at 66K for mileage. Given the HDC faulting and it's link to the ABS system decided it was time to get out while the getting was still good. Good truck, tried my damndest and couldn't ever get it stuck in the snow. I'll never buy another. They kind of shot themselves in the foot, Tata (sp?) that is when they took over. Got rid of the certified pre-owned program altogether.

This will be our 2nd diesel. Looking forward to much better mileage and a better ride on our longer family trips now.

Thanks for the data point...I think at the end of the day we are looking at $1000 over invoice as the best deal in Socal...we'll see.

Owning a Land Rover is really, really hit and miss. A friend and I both bought 2006 Range Rover Sports. Mine broke down in the first 2 days of ownership and spent 30+ days in the shop, the 4 months I kept it! Awful car. Her same RRS needed tires and oil changes and she kept it FOUR years..NO problems or issues at all.

My 2008 Range Rover was so so. Not bad, but not great. Our 2011 Rover is now 5 months old, 8000 miles and NOT one single, tiny issue!!

You're gonna love your 35d. Mine is my 5th X5, and besides from a 4.8is...hands down the BEST X5 to date. I basically love my 35d!

Looking forward to it Deutsch. Love the 20's on yours but I just couldn't rationalize them living in Chicago as I'm not one for owning two sets of wheels/tires for the same SUV.

Land Rover/Jaguar still has an amazing Pre Owned Program. It easily rivals BMW, Mercedes and Lexus.

What makes you think Land Rover got rid of their Certified Pre-Oned Program??
