Cold weather package with M-sport = no heated steering wheel?
I have found a 2010 4.8 that has cold weather and M-Sport packages. But looking at the pictures it doesn't seem to have the button on the steering wheel for the heat. The selling dealer says it has the heated steering wheel, but I thought I read somewhere on here that heat wasn't available with the M steering wheel.
Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks. |
The M Sport steering wheel for the 2011 model year is not heated with the cold weather package. I would assume the 2010 model year is the same. The M Sport wheel is just too fat and it is also made of squishy material. The feel is worth to difference.

I think it is more because BMW just decided not to offer the combination of M Sport package and heated wheel. The M Sport package has a heated wheel outside of North America (some posters have bought the wheel and retrofitted it). The X5M has a heated steering wheel (with paddles). My 535i M Sport had a heated steering wheel (with the control button on the side next to the steering wheel adjustment control). All of those are fatter, softer steering wheels with heat and M badges. I wouldn't be without it.
