Would you get pissed or be proud that he's so much smarter than you are, sir?

Now that is the question................ LOL

Not quite sure if one is able to do that. Why would a Honda dealership even entertain that? They'd be losing money....

just an interesting abservation that I see, does not mean it will be practical necessarily.

Now.... mr. Postking.... I know my son is smarter than me. He is valley victorian, an has a full scholarship to UC Irvin. Not only is he my son, but he is my business partner. I will support him anytime. He has been learning and trying to manage my businesses. He deserves it. Now weather he wants to do a trade in for a 96 Honda? Well that's his choice. I bought him that car because I trust him and he's young and I'm very proud of what he has accomplished.

If I were to offer my sons x5 m, the Honda dealer would want no more than 70k for it.... I spent 106k for the x5m. Why would I want to loose 36k? My son is better off selling it himself as an original owner. That way he dosen't get screwd.

I think you're missing the point here.. Look past the "literal" and see the point he's trying to make.. ;)

My 2 cents...

I for one think you should be proud of your son - sounds like he is well accomplished. And if you feel inclined, this is a great motivation tool to continue his climb up the ladder.

There are too many parents buying their kids crazy a$$ cars these days when they DON'T deserve it. Example is the kid that is driving down the street in a 150K Porsche but is failing grade 12 Math.

Agan, just my 2 cents.

BTW, I'm looking forward to some 'non iPhone' pics

Cheers

hope you gave him a box of Trojans also - that beast will be attracting a lot of trim!

What does any of this three page conversation to nowhere got to do with helping us understand the inner workings of our X5's and help others do the same?

Sounds like some of the "Christmas letters" I receive and discard each year. If one of my relatives gets out of jail this year, you won't read about it here.:stickpoke
