Closing the Hood
 

How does everyone close their hood? Do you lower it to a certain distance and just drop it? That's what the manual says and it's also how I do it on my E90 and E92. I tried it on my X5 and it closes but the passenger side doesn't seem like it closes all the way. I have to lower it and close it with a little force.

What is the hood made of? Aluminum? It's so light that I think just dropping it won't close it tight. If I try to drop it from too high of a height it won't drop down because it's so light.

Mine I can drop and it closes fully. If you cannot find a height that works (per the owners manual), I'd say it needs adjusting.
