Ive already tried to work out a deal with this company, he has this on a wholesale page for $48,000 when wholesale for the vehicle is around $43,000 in pristine and average is $41,000.

Just so I don't upset the idiots, the wholesale number is the MMR or average price for the past 90 days for equal vehicles. Some people will argue just to argue. Sorry, don't mean to offend, just know whats coming.

Good luck in your search.

Is the 4.4 worth the extra money? What options are "must-haves"? I know that each person has a different opinion as to what can be defined as a "must-have," but I didn't know if there were certain options that everyone has agreed upon.

Here are my personal "must-haves":
Nav
Backup camera
iPod hookup
Bluetooth

My "don't-wants":
3rd row seating
Rear DVD

My "ok, I'll splurge" list:
Heads up display
Adaptive cruise control

My goal is to find a CPO and/or stay under $45,000

What production month should I look for and what does LCI mean?
Thanks so much for your help!

If you are talking about active cruise control rather than adaptive cruise control, this wasn't available on 2009 MY.

Ok I have changed my mind again. I like the 2010 now because it has a more friendly idrive. I think I want the 35d. I have never owned a diesel (or a BMW for that matter). This model seems to be pretty popular with a lot of people here. Anything I should know? My only fear with it being a diesel is finding a station that has it. They aren't very prevalant in the area of Nashville I'm in.

Thanks for all your help guys! You have been great!

I was just about to ask why you had ruled out the diesel '09. I have it. Love it. V-8 power and better fuel economy than the I-6. For the '09 model, prior to the facelift and new gas engines, the diesel was a no-brainer for me.

As for diesel stations, once you really start looking for them, you'll notice they are more numerous than you thought. If nothing else truck stops by the interstate will work. I personally have two stations that I do all of my local fill ups at and just swing by one when it's getting low.
