X5 E70 CIC screen on CCC system ?

Would it be possible to switch only the CCC low res screen on my E70 X5 with the high res CIC screen but keep the CCC unit?
I know there is a different connector but was this done before?

I don't know....

But even if you could, wouldnt the lower resolution output of the CIC computer (ie say 640x480) therefore display in one small corner of the 1000x800 higher resolution screen?...

Found the answer ... Will not work.
The connection changed from 8 wire parallel to 2 wire serial.
