Restraint System Malfunction

Saturday I received an error message stating "Restraint System Malfunction" where the passenger side had some kind of error causing the "ding" to occur and the error to come on the screen. Unfortunately, I was out of my local area and just drove home that evening without any issues (besides the annoying notification going off once in a while). I also noticed that the air fan was sort of acting weird form the sense that it was intermittently moving between higher and lower fan speeds all on it's own. I attributed that to the restraint malfunction error given that electronics are whacky in general and it was all good up to the point of that malfunction message.

I just wanted to get some thoughts on this and see if anyone has seen this before.

I already had an appointment at the dealer for Wednedsay to address the squeeky driver seat issue so this will just be added to the list.

I have approximately 8800 miles on her and even with these few minor issues I wouldn't talk bad about her to anyone.

Thanks in advance

Only this tip. DO NOT assume it is related, lodge two separate complaints on the work order and be specific. Make sure the SA writes down your complaint accurately

The restraint system malfunction happened twice within 3 months of my dad picking up the vehicle. Each time, it took them 2 days to order parts and replace; the first time my dad said they replaced the driver airbag for whatever reason.

Update: The SA told my wife they had order a module and it would take a few days. I also have other comments but will hold off until get to an actual computer.
