Do you leave your roof racks on?

I'm curious if you folks leave your roof racks on or just attach them when putting a container or holder of some sort on the roof? I'm thinking of just leaving them on for the winter for snowboards and christmas tree and stuff, but was wondering if they were really designed for daily use.

Never.

Once I've used my roof racks, I can't wait to get them off... It's depends on the driving that you do though. I do most of mine on the open road and can't tolerate the extra wind noise.

Hrm, you can hear a difference with them on? The OEM Racks look so low profile I wouldn't have thought they'd have a huge impact, but thanks for the heads up.

city apartment living doesn't allow much storage, so I had left my snowboard rack up year round. I get comments once in a while outside of winter. with the moonroof "gate" closed, the wind noise is negligible. no issues otherwise except one time I went into a garage with low clearance.

That's not so bad.

One time I tried to pull into my garage with my bike on the roof.
Didn't work out so well…

I leave them on, no issues... my X looking better is a plus...

I take them off, you can hear the wind at 70 MPH, and it decreases you mileage.
