Steering Wheel Controls for Soft Buttons
 

I looked in the manual and didn't see anything--is there a way to set the Arrow Up/Down on the steering wheel to go through what you have stored on the center console soft buttons ? I know on my e53 the arrow buttons automatically went through the radio pre-sets. All of my soft buttons are either radio, Sirius or iPod.

Not that I'm aware of. You can however set your lower button for certain functions

No you cannot assign the Up/Down buttons to control the 1-6 buttons. That would be a shortcut for a shortcut. The E70 does not have the programmable steering wheel buttons like to older E53

Mine does... I think they changed that feature later on but I know the 2007/2008's do (programmable buttons)

E70 does have programmable steering wheel buttons, but only for 2 buttons I believe. They look like a snow flake or a star on the right hand side of the wheel if my memory is correct.

I looked those up in the manual and they weren't programmable for the 6 soft buttons--it was something else I can't remember off the top of my head.

That's correct. Those 2 buttons can be programmed for things like MUTE, Navi, etc. I-drive shows the limited options.
