Which Wheel style
Decision decision decision. Which 20s style would you guys go with for a LCI 35d.
214 333m Others. |
 I'm in the same boat. Let's see some pics!

214 :niceshoes:

I think the 214s look the best on X5s. Better than the 333s imo. The 336s are also really nice and can make the car look a little 'newer' compared to the 214s but overall I think the 214s look nicer.

I go the SAP with 19" non-staggered setup. I think the 335's look better in person than I thought they would but I would like to upgrade when my stock RFT's are done and use the 335's for winter tires. I like the 214's a lot, but the 336's seem more unique and "new" like spanky said.
Can anyone post more pics of their X5 with 336 wheels. There's not a lot out there, and yes I tried searching. Thanks! |
I think the ride and handling characteristics are more important than "how it looks". Snazzy looking, expensive wheels look bad when the car has slid into a kerb or a tree or guardrail. The Northeast gets its share of cold weather (not to mention snow) and poor road surfaces so one should think carefully about ride comfort and whether one will buy a set of snow wheels/tires before jumping to conclusions based on "looks".

When you buy 20" wheels you hopefully knowingly placing ride comfort behind looks and "handling" which I am guessing the OP knows. No need to chastise him into getting something he doesn't want. Hopefully he will get a set of snows given his location in Jersey. In regards to handling, the 20" wheels with summer rubber will "handle" much better in all conditions except cold (under ~ 40 degrees), ice and snow than the 19" wheels with all-season (no season) tires. More contact patch with the wider 20s and the tire compound grips better in the dry and wet (not cold wet). X |
Thanks everyone esp 335xray.

214s, keep wanting 336s or 300m to change it up but it's so easy to stay with the 214s.

I'm in the same boat. Just can't decide.
Is there a thread of only black E70s with wheel set ups? :D LOL |
