air condition question!
 

how do you make it so both the driver and passenger side air temperature are locked to the same value. ie so you dont have to change one then change the other. thanks.

I don't think you can. On my 2011, I have to do the same thing, set one, then set the other.

Now.... On my 2011 535xi there is a button labeled 'All' and it 'locks' them to what the drivers side is, including having the air come out on the floor or the dash etc... Once the passenger adjusts any of the settings, it will switch out of 'All' mode. Also, if you press 'All' mode a second time, it will take it back to where the passenger last left it set.

I don't know why this isn't the same on the X5... :dunno:

I don't think you can do it on the X5. I checked the manual and also asked my CA when I picked up the car. I wanted to know because my Audi A6 has this feature.

As far as coding the button, it would be quite easy. I'm not sure why they left this out.

I think there's a way and we just don't know. Someone help!

I own/owned 3 E70's and my 07, 11, 12 did/do not have the all button. the new F10 is the only one that I know that has it. I would assume the new 7 has it also.

This is minor compared to the annoying design "feature" of always turning the climate control back on at startup!!!
