a few questions on my new E70

Just received my 3.0d with LED angel eyes in August and am loving it!
I just noticed on outpost that BMW is introducing this thing called blue performance that complies with EU6 norms. I was wondering if mine is already equipped with it and how to find that out? There is no mention of it on the swiss site (I live in Switzerland).
I also have a friend who drives a Mercedes ML who has this cool feature on his GPS that turns the map into night view at night time. It does it automatically through the ambient light sensor. I know that my X5 GPS has night view map but you can only set it manually, is that right?

TIA

Oh and I forgot to mention that I am a bit disappointed with BMW's stingy approach to LED lighting. It is the future but they use it in a very sparsely: angel eyes, back lights and door handles (if you take the light pack option). They could have also added it to the turn indicators, brake lights and inside. I really wonder why?

Errr, ok thanks!

I have not learned how to do this, but you can program one of the buttons (like #6) to toggle between day and night modes of the nav. Of course the $50 TomTom app on my iPhone 4 does this automatically.

Don't know why, but I'm happy BMW doesn't go Audi's and other's route and doesn't turn our vehicles into Xmass trees.

Hmmm, maybe aesthetics is the reason why.

I don't believe that the X5 in Europe has the BluePerformance available to meet the EU6 standard. We have something like this for North America due to California's (pointlessly stringent) standards, but BMW has not offered it on the X5 in other markets yet.

I agree with the LED use. I don't like the Christmas lighting found on VWs thesedays, it's too bling and not tasteful. Everyone will have his/her opinion on this. Also since this was just a LCI and not a redesign, BMW probably had some price target to meet and didn't want to radically change everything. In all likelihood, the redesign will have LED turn signals as an option, if not standard.

I finally found this feature in the manual then saved it to #6 and can easily toggle between day and night modes.
