New wheels on the X
Got my 21" 239's on yesterday so thought I would upload some pictures.
The ride is definitely a bit former over pot holes than the 19's but no where near as bad as I thought (maybe as I now don't have RFTs on) http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...r/P1080858.jpg http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...r/P1080855.jpg http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...r/P1080853.jpg I'm still contemplating getting the spokes in painted or coated in gloss black but leaving the rim silver....but I'l wait and see how a photoshop of it turns out first! |
Looks great! Love the 239s

Make sure you get the area in front of the rear wheel well covered in paint protection film. Otherwise, your pretty paint will look horrible when it starts to chip.

Nice wheels

Those look GREAT!!!

Nice! I wonder how they look with Alpine White. ;)

Thanks :)
Already started to get the stone chips though, wish I'd put the protective film on before I got the wheels :banghead: What do you think about paiting/powder coating black? http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...58adjusted.jpg |
Cool/different look, just doing the spokes black, imo!

very nice..what are the specs of the rims?
No, not a fan of black coating! |
The wheels look great. A few thoughts to share:
- I have the same size wheels with RFTs, it is a harsh ride. I am changing to non-RFTs soon. - I have gloss black wheels on Alpine White, they look great. If I had to do it all over again I would go with 3-4% matte finish to better hide the brake dust. - I really like the black wheels with a thin silver rim. It will be hard to get a clean edge if you try to paint and leave the rim silver. Big chance for disappointment. Thanks |
