Transform X5 E70 into an M-Sport or M?

Hi guys
i have a question
how hard is it to get a kit for an E70 X5 4.8 from a 2012 X5 M-sport or just X5M?

is it doable?
do bumpers just fit?

please let me know what you know and ill go from there.
ANY help is appreciated

Not sure about the M Body kit, but i do know the X5M bumper would not fit. If you look closely, the front headlights of the X5m are different than the regular E70 X5.

I think the M SPort may work though. Would be pretty pricey

Don't be that guy (or girl).

The aero kit for the 4.8 looks very good and goes on the car...that's your best choice.

There is an M sport kit that was available for the 4.8 from the factory, but you'd have to change/paint front and rear bumper, wheel arches, and running boards. It would be a lot of work aftermarket.

Converting it to the X5M look would not be possible due to headlights, hood, fenders, and bumpers, etc needing to be changed. The headlights would be the main deal breaker as they come from the X6 and likely can't just be swapped out.

Someone on here (in Europe) did the conversion..I remember a BSM diesel owner that swapped out hood, lights etc but didn't add sidemarkers...

Cool thanks for the info....
I was looking into the Aero Kit... thats the best option so far, i just LOVE the way the front and rear bumpers look on the X... but OH WELL :)

most likely will do the AERO kit.

Can you get the aero kit painted from factory?

not as far as I've seen... I ordered it at the same time and it was still an accessory done by the dealer and they mark it up however they please. Some more than 300%. If you can get it at cost ($900) and then painted, then installed yourself, you would save AT LEAST half of what dealers charge to get it on.

Yes it is possible .... not cheap but possible ... look at my previous post:

i've fitted aero kit recently on my E70, absolutely love it. definitely more stand out and unique compared with other stock X5.

Of course it's possible!
