can anybody help me decide on wat brand to buy for the angel eyes, ive been seeing post about lux h8 v3 and gp thunder, which one is better and ofcourse without error codes.. and also the led license plate wtb and what to buy..

Your E70 already has LED license plate lights. Are you just wanting another color?

i don't think led licence plate lights made it until the 2011 model year. My 2010 didn't have them but my 2011 does.

I have being eye-ing those license plate led lights for my 08 X5.
they vary from $15 on ebay to $130 at some online places.

I will appreciate any input from someone who has used these.

I used these replacement bulbs on my 2010 and they worked great. BMW E70 X5 N52 3.0L > Lighting > LED > ES#258412 E70 LED License Plate Bulbs - Pair - E70T10W37KT

I originally tried these and they were way too bright.

Our Ziza LED lights for the X5 do not cause codes and a bright without being over baring. The install just as stock bulbs do as they are stock replacements.

hey Luvmy03e53, mine doesnt come with the led on the license plate, ive seen it on the new one's like the 2011 models, im kinda considering the one from ECS tuning, looks legit but im looking for the whole assembly..

Thnx for the link. I just ordered a pair since one of mine (stock) went out.

Do you use a flathead and just pop it out?

When I replaced mine, I put the flathead screwdriver into the slot and pushed to the right. The whole assembly will shift over. While still applying pressure, you can drop the side with the slot down a bit. Once down, slide the whole assembly back to the left while pulling down on the side you've already dropped. The whole thing will come out and you can unplug the wire.

Does that make sense? That's how mine came out.

It's a bit weird because I originally assumed once you pushed it right, the whole thing would just drop out but for me the sliding it back to the left was necessary. GL

as far as angel eyes, the lux are awesome... but pricey. I do have a set of citylights h8 LED angel eyes for sale if anyone needs some. 50 bucks shipped. pm me
