Just got production number
 

Hey all,
I'm a long time lurker, occasional poster. I have an X5 50i on order and finally got a production number last week. I was hoping to get it delivered before the end of the month so I could use the Team USA drive discount. Unfortunately, the vehicle is still not in production, so it looks like it won't arrive in time. I am trading in an E60 M5 to get more ground clearance, AWD, and better 3 kid carrying capabilities. I'm not overly looking forward to getting rid of the M5, but once the snow flies, I am hoping I won't be missing it quite as much.

Congrats! I have 50i on order as well. It finished production yesterday. Ask your dealer to tell you what build week is allocated for your car. Mine was week 41 (this week), however production started early last week.

I took delivery of mine in July and been diggin it ever since.

you'll be a happy man with the 50i...won't miss the M5 at all IMO.

I'm trading my E60 M5 as well. I wasn't the happiest either AT FIRST, but I am getting really excited for my 2012X5d to arrive. I think it will be a much better all-around do-everything vehicle.

FWIW, mine was supposed to arrive on the 9th, but it isn't here yet. It is supposedly in transit.

Well, I just found out the production week is 44, which means first week in November. So much for 4-6 weeks until delivery (I ordered the vehicle the third week in September). I can kiss the $1000 Drive for Team USA discount goodbye since it probably won't be here until mid November.
