HID headlights HIGHBEAMS
 

recently got a 2008 e70 with HID lights

seesm strange that the low beams are HID and the High beams seem to come on BUT from the SAME location as the lowbeams

the center 2 lights NEVER come on ... I looked in there from the outside and there IS a bulb in the center 2 projector locations ...they seem to NEVER be lit ??

am I missing something ??
fogs come on as required and the low beam position steps up to a brighter light when the Highbeams are requested ... but never what you would think of as the tradtional HIGH BEAM position

HELP ? !!

The high beam and low beam are from the same outter blubs. There is a shield that flips up for the high beams. There is no bulb in the inner location.

well ACTUALLY there is on our car but they NEVER light up ? you can SEE the bulb in there
why are there 4 locations if only 2 ever work ?

they really look like Halogen bulbs I am SURE there are bulbs in there .......

The inner halogen bulbs are for the corona lights.
