Model Year 2009 from when?

Hi Guys,

i bought a X5 4.8i from an auction and having it shipped overseas. The production date on the plate says 06/2008.

Is this a 2008 Model or 2009 Model?

Look at the tenth digit of the VIN. If it's 8, it's an 08, if it's 9, it's an 09.

Great, thanks a lot. I didn't know this.

I got the car a couple of days ago. Was a bit worried myself but checked the Carfax and it was a one owner car still under warranty which had all the dealer visits listed, so there shouldn't be many issues with it that haven't been fixed.

So far the X5 runs great :-) The steering is quite heavy though. I had a 750Li before. This car feels quite different...

don't think they did '09s until Aug/Sept. '08.
