Milky Headlight covers (Plastic)
 

Just picked up my '07 X5 3.0d SE yesterday and noticed that the headlight covers are 'milky'. They look like a strong polish has been used on the plastic and almost marked it - definitely not transparent any more. I mentioned it to the salesman (Haliwell Jones) and asked him to investigate whether the covers were part of the light unit or available separately.

Anyone had similar ? Should I request replacement ?

Mine used to cloud up at least every two weeks, polish them out with plastic polish (griots worked great) and put on the clear plastic headlight shields...problem solved.

If the plastic headlight shields are already on and they are cloudy...take them off :).
