My 2012 X5 35D

Hi everyone. New to this board, but have owned BMW for a few years (2009 335d). I am currently deployed to Afghanistan with the US Army and just ordered a new X5 diesel yesterday. It's supposed to be delivered in Mid-December. That's good because that's when we come back from deployment  I bought mine from Stephen Ludwig at Passport BMW in Suitland, Maryland (across the river from DC). MSRP $68,465; got the deal for $58,750 out the door!

Here's my config:

Space Gray Metallic
Cinnamon Brown Nevada leather
Dark Burl
Sport Activity Package
-Style 335 19" Wheels
-Multi-Countour Seats
Cold Weather Package
Premium Package
Running Boards
3rd Row Seat
BMW Apps
BMW Class III Trailer Hitch
Going to be a great Christmas! :usa:

I also have an 09 335d, and I love it. I am getting my '12 X5 xdrive35d on the 2nd of Dec. Picking it up at the BMW Welt. I had to wait 6 extra weeks for it to be shipped over here. (Germany.) I get to drive it for about 3-4 days before I head back to Afghanistan. My wife says she will keep it company while Im gone. haha. We are moving back to Maryland next summer.
-did you try Tisher BMW? This is where I will be taking our bimmers when we get them stateside.

Bought the 335d from Cars Int'l and the X5 from Pentagon. Stay safe and get home soon.

Hi docpowell. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for your service! I love the 335d. IMHO it is the best combination of performance and economy available. I routinely get 34mpg driving back and forth to work (15 miles one-way, city streets). I sent emails to most of the bug dealerships in the DC area and Passport offered the best deal. My next assignment will likely be in the DC area, their location is good for that too. Sorry you have to come back to "the suck", but at least you will get to drive your new X5 on the Autobahn first! Take care and be safe.

We will have to meet up at one of the Bimmer meets sometime. Are you in any of the clubs there? I want to join up one of the Bimmer car clubs when I get back to meet other owners and get help/ideas, on these beasts.
Thanks for your service to brother.

Sounds good. I look forward to it. I am not currently a member of any clubs. My BMW CCA membership lapsed while I was over here.
