Stupid questions
Morning, is there a way without a computer to reset the oil change indicator? I had to have it changed and could not get in to the dealer for 3 or 4 days, I did it myself at home, I cannot find a reset.
Thanks. |
Is it out of warranty? If not, it is foolish to NOT have BMW do the recommended maintenance. I'm a hard core DIYer and I'll still let then do the oil change and inspections.
I am pretty sure you need a specific tool. FYI, I do my own oil change in between the free BMW service, but of course do not reset the indicator as then BMW would not do their free one. GL A |
You can but I agree with the above statement, you should not.
Use the search option on service light reset on this forum. |
HERE is a link to the DIY no special tools method to resetting your oil light, if your not comfortable with that method (I'm not) a tools such as a Peak FCX-3 will rest the oil light for you and allow you to read any codes!
