Which of these backup camera kits should I choose?
I have a 2011 X5 and would like to install a backup camera. I've been doing a lot of research and realize that I must get a kit that works with the new iDrive and CIC navigation. I've found these two. I contacted both vendors and confirmed that they are compatible with my X5. However, the price of the first is $500 and the price of the second is about $1,000 (depending on camera choice). I would really appreciate any input I could get on which system to choose, or the differences between the two.

Have you looked into how you plan to run the wires from front to back? I've thought about this extensively and I just don't see how we can hide the wires w/o pulling off pretty much every single interior panel, given the tight fit. I can imagine alot of hacking off of insulation materials and other stuff just to get the wires to snake around the interior. Also I'm not comfortable taking apart the center console/headunit to plug everything in. Maybe I'm being paranoid but the last thing I want is electrial gremlins and being told by BMW that its not covered due to this unit. Let me know what you solution to the install is going to be. Thanks
