anymore issues with 50i?
 

I am in the process of purchasing a 2012 X5 50i and am a little concerned about the oil coolant leaks I read about...

is this an ongoing issue with the newer models? is there anything else I need to be aware of or check before committing?

Is anyone experiencing this now? or any other issues?

if so, please state your year and mileage and status... :popcorn:

love the 50i but will settle for the 35i if it will bring me less drama..

note: i never had a problem with my 08 3.0.

First time hearing of this on the newer X5, let me check other focus to see if anything turns up?

Never heard of any 50i oil leaks either. Love mine. Go for it.

I'm at 3K and am a 'happy camper'.

First time I hear about it. 16K miles here and no leaks. There is a recall to replace an auxiliary water pump, which helps cool the turbocharger under certain conditions. I just got the letter from BMW but had already taken care of it while the X was recently in for service.

sounds good... i guess you guys are the lucky ones with no problems at all..

have one of the first 50i's delivered and going on 17k miles now - no issues.

Love my 50i. No issues...

30k. No leaks or problems. Just scheduled maintenance and a set of tires...
