Shuddering while breaking
 
Hi all would like your thoughts on this one
X5 07 while braking at around 120 kmh and decreasing through 80 kmh the wheel starts a slight shudðer and then eventually stops I have beaked hard now an again incase it was uneven pads but it seems to be continuing ?

Ok warped rotors so I guess that would require new rotors , is that a big job ?

These are on ebay, stick with oem and new pads too. U may be able to have the rotors machined if they are pretty new.

Thanks for all your help turned out to be a lip on worn brake disc , new ones fitted and all good.

Please explain though, concave lip, replacement rotor?

Yes lip on worn rotor so replaced both front rotors.

I'm assuming it was something like this:

Such a lip/edge can cause a shudder as the pads have a little freeplay.
