08 X5 4.8i Heater Valve Cycling & Noise

The "heater valve" on my X5 4.8i cycles on/off every few seconds. (It's located on the driver's side of the engine - and has a heater hose attached to both ends.) Anyone else experience this? Thanks... :dunno:
