2012 12-speaker system: speed-adjusted volume?
I have a '12 x5d on order that goes to production shortly and I want to confirm whether or not the base in the 12 (the upgraded 12-speaker system) has the speed-adjusted volume that compensates for road noise? The brochure seems to indicate it's only on the 16-speaker premium sound (ZSP or whatever it is).
Does anyone have their 12 X5(d) yet without premium sound and can confirm it has the feature? Brian |
Actually i believe its on the enhanced 752 package that suppresses noise.
This is an additional $600 over the premium sound package, but ive heard its pretty good. Late january, i can give u my official review. cheers, |
Are you talking about the iDrive setting, where you can adjust how much speaker volume increases when speed increases?

Ive got the base stereo in my '12. It has the speed sensitive setting....accessed through idrive.

@Seattle/@c-bolt, yes, that's what I'm talking about. I had it in my E46 so I was surprised that it might not be in the E70. Thanks for confirming that it works in the base!

I know I have had this option on every E70 and E60 that I have owned. Just increases the volume of the radio as you go faster. There is no noise suppression.
