Advice CPO 2009 vs 2010 4.8

Good Saturday to all, I'm in the market for a 09 or 10 4.8 X5, fully loaded (i.e., all packages, comfort access, 3rd row seat). Just wondering if a 2009 would be a better choice. From a CPO stand point, I'm thinking the 2010 if better. Your thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks.

2010 has the updated navigation (CIC vs CCC),with a better rear camera. Otherwise, they look the same. I'd go with the newer lowest mileage one, assuming everything else is the same WRT service records

We would need to know the options, price, etc on the ones you are looking at. The main 2 differences between '09 and '10 is the '10 Sports Pack does not have Adaptive Drive standard (it is a stand alone option only) and the '10 has the newer iDrive.

Thanks for the suggestions. Does the adaptive drive make a huge difference? I do like the newer iDrive. I haven't found anything yet...I will post once I find something..

I looked at '09's and 10's before finding the deal I got on my new '11. I seem to recall that there are some minor differences in the styling that changed in '10, but unless you notice and care, I wouldn't think that's an issue. The other differenc I seem to recall is that there are clips that hold the 3rd row seatbelts up to the side of the rear compartment on the '10 models, but not on the '09 (or at least the ones I checked out). This is a big deal fo rme because I use the are tonneau cover a lot, and the 3rd row belts can catch on it if they are not out of the way. As for adaptive dirve, I'd strongly recommend it if you can find a car with it for the right price. It's a costly option standalone, which is probably why it was unbundled. However, it really counteracts body lean when compared to car without it. I drive up to the mountains frequently on a highway with long sweepers and lots of hairpins and gades with a pretty full payload. It really makes a difference for me.

I hope this helps.
