Anyone Install Shift Knob On E70 Before?

Just received my bamboo shift knob. Had to order from Germany.
Anyone install one of these before?

If it's like other BMW shift "knobs", the old one will pull straight out and the new one will snap onto the lever, but if you post a picture maybe that would help.

Its actually just the front trim piece that gets replaced, but this is what it looks like.

I meant a picture of the part you received, but I imagine that trim snaps off somehow. Just use a credit card or plastic trim tool to pry off one of the edges.

Call the sales gtans no sold you the car and see if he can ask a tech how to do it. You did help put food on his/her table. I know my sales guy would do it in a heart beatw

Just pop the front off with a small screwdriver, carefully.
The new part snaps on it it's place... Piece of cake.

I got my service advisor to have it installed free of charge, when I took the X5 in for service. It only takes 5 minutes if that.
