Idrive Controller on CCC unit

I did the CIC conversion but have some trouble with the PnP cable so I had to send in my unit. I installed the old CCC unit back but left the new iDrive controller in the center console. I am not able to use the controller so I checked the forum. Nothing really there about new controller on old system.
Does anyone know what I have to do? It is only an USB device so I wonder if there is coding required at all. Any advise would be nice!

USB device ??? Err ... No. Can bus. Yes.

CIC controller won't work with CCC idrive on the e70. At least not without coding.

I checked the coding and it looks like because my VO is changed to a never date that now I have the CIC and not the CCC in my car. In the CIC menu the ZBE is correct assigned but I think I have to go back to the original daye and program the APPL to the new idrive controller. I am suprised that the CCC unit is working in a CIC code envoirement.
