E53-E70 X5 badge

Does the E70 share the same "X5" badge/emblem as the E53? I found a gloss black X5 badge for a very good price, but it says it fits the E53.

Thank you

it is just attached to the car with double sided tape. It will fit any car you stick it to.

Yes....I have an E53 and just purchased carbon fiber roundels online for my newly ordered E70...I placed the new badges over my E53 badges out of curiosity (they seemed way bigger) but they fit perfectly. Same size.

if the new emblem were a different shape, would there be any discoloration of the paint underneath vs. what was exposed over all these years? Theoretical question about debadging after X amount of years really.

Exactly my point, but I ordered it, so I will see. But it was only $15, so its not a tragedy if its not the right size :)

The front badge is interchangeable between the E53 and E70. The rear on the other hand is not.

I'm not talking about the roundels, I'm talking about the actual "X5" badge

Thank you, this is what I was trying to find out :) I thought they looked about the same, but just wanted to make sure. But I ordered them anyway

^Just a heads up some of the aftermarket ones are not properly sized.

The one I bought was an OEM, stripped and powder-coated badge, but just from an E53

They dont fit , the one on the net you can find is with two pins, but the base of the embelem dosnt have these two wholes... I bout one and had to user glow to stick it

Mine worked... they are 3M double sided tape, no pins.
