ModBargains Wheel Replicas? Thay are a sponsor here... So does anyone know how their wheels compare to BMW standard issue? |
|
No way to independently verify the quality of the counterfeit/rep wheels.... |
|
Most of the time they are heavier and not as strong. Sometimes they are out of round even when new and bend very easily. Ask how I know...... |

Say no more... Thanks guys. |

PhilT3, I looked into this a lot recently. After a LOT of research, I decided: What I was not going to do: 1. I was not going to buy after-market wheels as there is not a single brand that people will vouch for them being as good as OEM 2. I was not going to buy refurbished OEM wheels as one has no idea what sort of repairs have been made to these 3. I didn't need new OEM wheels (as my truck is 4+ years old) So I searched for the following in OEM "modern wheels" styles (e.g. 336, 300, 333) 1. New OEM take-offs of wheels+tires. I very nearly bought a set of these. 2. Used OEM wheels+tires in good condition. This is what I did buy. 336's with summer tires. (Bought used TPMS monitors and hub adapters for these X6 wheels.) |

Thanks Brian! I also decided I dont want anything but OEM. Thanks! |
