It's a neat feature and, like most but not all, of the features is in the Owner's Manual.
I admit it's plenty long, but reading the manual is very useful. I wonder sometimes how many people never use a feature because they didn't read the manual completely. Maybe BMW should supply a "Cliff's Notes" of the unique features, such as the button info. It might help customer satisfaction and repeat business, as a feature not used is a waste of their money... at least for that customer.
Or how about a free downloadable model-specific screensaver that pops-up random hints, like some software programs do when you start them up each time, e.g., the saver slowly floats a message that begins "Did you know..."
