brake grinding noise

Hi guys,

just had my front and rear brakes replaced, for some reason when I'm driving on a freeway that next to it is a road barrier I can clearly listen to something grinding? is this normal, I had that before I changed my brakes.. or maybe this something else? what you guys think
thanks

without touching the brakes you're hearing this? Bring it back. I had a terrible grinding noise that would randomly happen just coasting down the road then it turned into a full-time problem. They replaced the front pads (not rotors) and all was good. I believe it's always in contact but there's probably an imperfection in there.

yes not touching the brakes, only I am able to listen when driving next to a wall .. its not loud but you can hear the fine grinding

i have that very same problem the grinding noisy from the front wheel, i think it maybe the bearings, what way your?

I had that before but more like a screech. I had a little pebble stuck between the rotor and the pad.

that could be a bearing or the pad is not returning (it was not lubricated in carrier)

I had the same issue and dealer replaced both front wheel bearing at about 2mo. apart from each other. 50k miles and both had to be replaced and noise is now gone.

anyone know what it should cost to get this done (in hours, obviously labor rate will vary) and how much are the bearing?

Thanks

I thnk you should diagnose the problem before you start replacing parts.
