X6 Exhaust tips?
 

Do the X6 exhaust tips fit the X5? Found some good ones on eBay:

I like the quads, but I don't like that it's only for 35i. Wonder if it'd be okay on a 4.8 in reality. I believe it's 2.5" piping.

would love the quads for my X5 35i.

The only differences between the 4.8 and 3.0/3.5 exhaust are the tips, 4.8 have bigger, square ones, and the 3.0/3.5 have smaller, oval ones, but the rest is the same. So they will fit any exhaust, but the problem (if its a problem) here is that they are for an X6, not X5

Good to know. I didn't know if the piping diameter was larger for the 4.8 than the 3.0/3.5. That's what would matter. It's not a problem that they're for an X6 as long as the X6 shares the same piping diameter, which I'd assume it does.

I think you have misunderstood me, The piping diameter is exactly the same, Its the actual tip thats different:

But from what I can tell, the issue is not the exhaust diameter, but the bumper trim/cutout. I haven't taken delivery yet, but can the bumper cutout for exhaust be easily changed?

If you are potentially willing to cut and weld, yes, but I'm hoping its just a direct fit.

Well this is what the kit to change the non 4.8 tips looks like.

Judging by the photos the bends look quite similar to the quad ones you posted.

I'd be very interested to know if it fits as well.
