X5 35d

Hello E70 Forum, i haven't posted in here much if any. i currently have a 2002 4.4i e53. I'm looking at getting myself into a X5 35d and was wondering if anyone had some info on the differences between and qwarks of the 2009 and 2010 years. i did some searching but didn't find much of what i was looking for. i knew it would be difficult since these vehicles are new and many of the info i'm looking for wont be known until sometime down the road.

any info would be much appreciated. thank you.

Well, the "sport package" on a 2009 includes adaptive drive. (ie it was a $5700 option - IIRC)

On the 2010 the sport package is only a few appearance items, and will NOT give you AD. (now a $2200 option with AD being a stand alone option at $3500)

The sport will not give you a 'Sport Suspension' in either year.

It's a start....

someone can confirm this, i believe that was the year of the new idrive system?
i have an 09 and a 12, not sure when it happened in there haha. if so, id buy the 2010 based solely on that.

I believe vehicles built after 09/09 (2010 Model Year) have the new CIC and updated iDrive. But that also coincided with the time BMW decided to use the base audio system as standard equipment for the US. Prior to that, and with the LCI, the Hi-Fi sound system was used as standard equipment for the US.

I have a 2010 35d...

...That I may need to sell due to a career change. 36k on the odometer, transferable CPO and Maintenance Agreement to 100k or 10/2015.

I change the oil every 5k or so, and keep my vehicles in immaculate condition. It's the one in my signature below... FULLY optioned.

If interested, let me know through a PM.

good to know about the AD not being included with the 2010 sport package.
