Lamp Out ~ LED Question
I have a 2010 X5 and the driver's side lamp is out.
The lamp that is out is the inner most lamp and the rings. I have the factory zenon lights. I am wanting to switch to the white LED lights and halos, my question is since the car is only 2.5 years old and less than 50K miles, is my warranty going to cover a new bulb replacement, I would think yes. Is there any way BMW has a replacement / retrofit for LED instead that I could pay for? If they do not, I think I am just going to buy the LUX LED replacement unless you guys can steer me in a better direction. |
I'd have them fix it with stock parts.
You may assume it is a bulb, but there are other parts (ballast, etc)..once you start talking with them about messing with aftermarket parts, they may get difficult in the future. Once fixed, THEN screw with crappy Asian stuff. At least you'll have an OE BMW set that is known good. :) A |
That is true, I doubt they will do anything but replace.
I wish they could retrofit the new BMW bulbs into my 2010... |
