Remote key will unlock, but not lock
 

Hey guys, you've always been a great help dealing with little issues with my e53, and I'm hoping it'll be the same for my e70 that I just picked up. I did some searching around the forums but I couldn't find anything. I just bought a 2007 4.8 yesterday, and I've been loving it so far. The only issue I have is that I can't lock the doors with the 1 key I received with the vehicle. It works to unlock the doors and open the trunk, but when I press the middle BMW button nothing happens. I've had to close all the doors, open the back door and climb in and press the interior lock button to lock all the doors and then climb out. Since the other buttons work, I assume it isn't a programming issue. Could it just be something wrong with the button in the key? Is it possible or easy to disassemble the key and see if something is just out of line? Or am I missing something obvious? I'm going to order another key shortly, but it will take over a week for it to come in and I'm hoping to have this issue sorted out a lot sooner. Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Have you replaced the battery in that key? You might give that a shot to see if it works.

I don't have Comfort Access, so from what I understand from the manual, I can not replace the battery in my key?
