License plate LED assembly

I was curious if anyone has tried this before? Not replacing the halogen lamp with just an led lamp, but the whole assembly is an LED.

Like this:
Led License Plate Lamp for Bmw E60 E70 E71 E82 E88 E90 E92 E93 - Product Picture From Racing Dash Enterprise Ltd.

I went to a local store and they had both the lamp replacement and the whole assembly. It was brighter than just replacing the lamp itself. I wonder if it will help the reverse camera at night time. Input please?

1.) I've read that it doesn't help with the reverse camera, however I don't have any real experience with it.

2.) I replaced the inside hatch lights with similar LED light/housings (18 LED from Dash) and it is bright. I like it a lot. However, I think it would be way to bright for the license plate. I prefer not to have my plates lit up brightly. I definitely think it will be much brighter than any manufacturer OEM LED license plate.

Thanks for the input. I thought about that too, it would be too bright as a license plate light. It would draw too much attention rather than be an attractive aesthetic mod.

Dam this reverse camera!

Did it help with your reverse camera at night?

Have any pics? And would you happen to remember how many watts they were. I am on the fence of grabbing them too ahhha

Too bright and actually blinds the camera a bit. Speaking from experience.

So we got one individual that says it's too bright and blinds the camera, and another that absolutely love it lol!

Which set did you get dbox?

Forgot to mention I have '10 with newer camera which is decent at night as is; older models may very well benefit from the brighter light.
