Scan Software or scan tool

I am in the market for scan software or a scan tool that can read all the BMW modules, i.e. ABS, Transmission, air bag, etc. Does anyone have any advice? It will be used on a 2012 X5 50i and a 2012 Mini Countryman All4.

I checked AutoEnginuity, Car soft and Bavarian Technic (BT seems to have stopped updating in 2009)

I would prefer to stay under $500; but, for a good tool, I would spend more.

I am looking for 1st hand recommendations.

Thanks,
Brian
