Need your opinions please

Just got the X6M reps. Machined on outside, black accents. They're nice wheels, but I'm not sure I like them on my car. Also realize that I'll need to get fender flares as they're a staggered 20 inch set up. In particular, I'm not a big fan of the black accents, and would've preferred hyper silver all around. Thoughts? (I've changed the picture from the first one I posted, which was at a poor angle and in poor lighting)

I agree with you. They scream "reps" with the black accents. I don't like.

I think they look good, but you definitely need to get the fender flares...
|
Heh, I had the same reps and sold them shortly for the very same reason of looks. The wheels themselves are fine, it's just for some reason this particular style (300) looks a bit off on a X5, whether it's oem or especially machined replicas.

Needs flares, but I actually like the black accent - hides breakes dust quite well ;)

I saw an X6M on the road yesterday with these (nothing like an ///M stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic)... at a quick glance they look the same and I doubt many people out there seeing your car could tell, but the most important is how you feel about it since you're the one walking out to it every day. I used to like these but would rather get the 336s over them now. Or of course the 214s.
|
All the comments are much appreciated. I just picked them up on Friday, and am hoping that I'll be able to exchange the wheels for the 214s (should've gone with my first instinct). It's strange, the wheels look good when just looking at the wheels alone, but for me at least, I don't like them. Prefer something more subtle, and definitely am not a fan of black accents. I even like my stock 18 inches better!
|
To each its own, but I like how they look. I think they are still giving aggressive stance (you might want to post 3/4 view of X5 - from front and rear). 214s have been out for a while, yours are relatively "new".

I think it looks nice. I'm not a diehard BMW person, so I can't tell whether it's replica or not.
|
I like them, definitely prefer them to the stock-loocking 214s!

I think it's the Black accents. Here's a pic of a new X5M. Granted it's an "M", but don't the wheels look much better on the car like this?
|
the inner rim of my 214s came silver just like the face, but a few weeks in they became black... BRAKE DUST. I actually don't mind it looking like that as it is uniform. You're not going to be able to keep them silver unless you are meticulous about it, every week. I only clean what's visible on the outside and they still look great. Point is that the accented parts - if the inner rim is what you mean - will get dark regardless.

Diesel, where did you get those X6M wheels reps? how much?
what tires did you put on them? Im looking for a set but i want them hypersilver not black (the accent at least) |
Have anybody ordered from OEMWheelsPlus.com lately?
Just need to get some opinion... thanks. |
I changed the picture. I think it looks better in the new photo, though still trying to get used to them and will add the flares. Bought it at a local retailer here in Canada (Vancouver). Paid $2200 CAD for the whole package mounted on Continental Extreme Contact DWS (before tax).

Diesel,
I have the 214's, my nephew calls them Antlers! I like your wheels... Just get the flares and your opinion will change... |

Finally getting used to the wheels. I also put in the fender flares. I can't believe how much of a difference that it makes. Thanks for all the comments.

Now it's a beast! Great look.

Yeah, it looks good the way it is, especially with the wheel flares...
