Has anyone changed their own belts?
 

I know belt changing is relatively easy as I do it frequently on our older BMWs but this 2009 3.0 x5 that my wife has includes a bar above the belts and I read somewhere that a special tool is needed to remove the belts. Is this true? Does this "bar" need tO be removed?

Nobody answered this question? I have to replace my AC belt on the 2009 X5 diesel and have no clue how. There seems to be no belt tensioner and no way to remove the old belt and install the new one. Can anyone help?
