What do you think of this? (Pricing Question)
 

Preamble...

I drove my 2006 4.4i home to South Carolina from Green Bay a couple days ago.

Last night I noticed that a rear bulb was out. But instead of being dead, it was slowly surging from out to slightly dim and then back. I figured the surging was a sign of a weak alternator regulator.

Not wanting to tear the car apart on my vacation I decided to take it to the local dealer to have the alternator replaced. (I know this might not be an alternator problem but since I have to travel back to GB in a few days and since I don't want to do an alternator job on the side of the road, I might as well have it done.)

Question...

While waiting for my car to be taken in, I saw a beautiful silver 2013 3.5 x5 in the showroom. I told a salesman that I would be willing to pay 57K on the 2013 and take 25K for my 2006 (97K), If it were a go I would just make the trade and go home.

The saleman said I wasn't even close of the 2013 and he thought I would be closer to 20K on my 2006.

So I am curious to know what kinds of deals are out there.

What do you all think you could get this 2013 for? (Sorry, the photo is not that clear)

if you want 25 grand for your 06 e53,try private sales there's a single bmw dealer willing to pay that kind of money for it.
