i want to replace all the bulbs with LED

i want a complete solution to replace all the bulbs, in and out, with error free LEDs, including the coronas.

Can someone please point me to where I can get them all without piecing everything together????

Thanks very much in advance!

I just did all of mine about a week ago (although I purchased my kit from eBay) and I am extremely happy with the results. Makes a huge difference in the interior and overall presentation.

JamnX5 07-20-2012 03:48 PM

can you give us the name of the kit

abee20 07-21-2012 05:09 AM

The kit I bought was $60 and it came from an eBay seller named linnaonline.

I guess it's a matter of taste, but don't LEDs give that morbid, 'hospital' look? Also, do they dim properly?

Absolutely not. I'd say it's a brighter, more natural look. And the lights do dim normally.

Any one has before and after pics?

Here is a picture of mine with blue LEDs. It looks dark on the picture but it's actually brighter. And I used white LEDs for the doors and spot lights.

Our interior LED kit from Ziza covers all the cabin lights on the E70. HERE is a link to it.

Thank you ECS.

I'd like to know what error free corona bulbs you have as well. I want the lights on the front of the car including the fogs. If you can please point me to what works, i will buy them all from you.

I appreciate your assistance.

WWONG 07-29-2012 01:18 AM

The Bimmian ones don't work-- they flicker like crazy... at least on a '12

For your fogs, currently Ziza (my big LED provider) doesn't have an LED H11 bulb, I'll send my contacts with them an Email requesting information in case they have one coming soon.

ok.

what about a non-LED solution that will work? I want to update the yellow-ish rings with a more current model look.

i'd like to replace as many of the bulbs on the outside as well but if there is no LED option, at least a "white" version for the fogs and coronas.

ECS Tuning 07-31-2012 10:28 AM

For the fogs, we have some Ziza standard bulbs which produce clean white light.

The "Super White" bulbs (found HERE) produce a light color similar to that of a 6000k HID bulb

The "Platinum White" bulbs (found HERE) produce a light color similar to that of a 7500k HID bulb.

But personally I run the super yellow Zizas in my fogs, the yellow light helps with road visibility in bad weather.

we're getting there... so do you have any solution for the coronas in lieu of LED?

also, what temp are the factroy headlights? i've thought about using yellow, but think id rather match the temp of the bulb to the headlights.

thanks for your help, im looking forward to my order!

ECS Tuning 07-31-2012 12:43 PM

The "Super White" is rather close to the factory HID color in the E70.

For the corona lights, one of my parts guys managed to turn off some of our options by mistake, long story short I did a little yelling and he's correcting his mistake. Below is a photo of them in our E70 to give you an idea of the color out put of the RD LED conversion. Which is available HERE.

I paid $20 total for full LED interior bulbs from a chinese seller on eBay, same bulbs used as in all the other kits, just less that $1 for a pair of bulbs. One of my favorite mods so far.

FYI I did my LED kit last night (man it's hard to get those rear dome assemblies out, I cursed a lot during their removal). So, I used this seller as well, the bulbs look fine however the center dome does not work, and the rear domes flicker like crazy. Yes I also blew the glove box fuse so I hope to replace that today to see if the bulb will work in there.

The nice thing is the seller seems very cooperative and is already sending out a replacement kit, hopefully the new bulbs work. Coming from China it took less then a week to get to WA.

I would recommend being careful when prying the center dome assy out, as I somehow pierced my fingernail when doing so. Ouch. The rear domes are a bitch like everyone says, if it helps the metal clips are on the rear side, to give you a place to start prying.

The bulbs that are in look great though....

ha that was my first post - i'm a lurker I suppose :)

myrr 06-05-2013 10:14 AM

BTW I wish I had this install guide prior - found it on another forum.... http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3...LED_Lights.pdf

myrr 06-11-2013 12:34 PM

So the replacements came in last night, and I am still getting a good second or two of flicker on the main dome when starting the car, really annoying.... does anyone have a link to a LED dome that works without flicker on startup? The other lights in the car seem to be fine.

Singh97 06-11-2013 03:17 PM

bought a ZIZA LED kit from ecstuning and center dome and rear lights flicker like crazy too.. looking a permanent solution as well.

I wonder if this is something that coding would affect.... i've seen snippets of info in the forums where people mentioned that. I will try another manufacturer thursday and see what happens.

Toneaero 06-12-2013 12:40 PM

For the interior LED bulb swap, do you lose the "fade on" and "fade off" feature?

myrr 06-12-2013 06:48 PM

Mine fade just fine - the only issue I have at this point is when starting the car I get some flashing of the dome...

Do you have the BMW LED kit or an aftermarket like from ebay?

myrr 06-13-2013 02:18 PM

Ebay

Has anyone had any success with the Ziza interior lights not flickering? Mine flicker like crazy too! I have gone a few shipments with them and no success. I called them for a solution, and the answer they gave me was:
"They need to warm up..."
Really? Warm up, you mean when i turn my car on, and get it i have to sit and wait for them to stop flickering? Right, lame answer try again ECS. Looking to send my set back and get my money back.

dadasracecar 05-14-2014 08:01 PM

So I'm looking on superbrightleds.com and have the option of normal LEDs or CAN Bus LEDs that prevent flickering. It says specifically that CAN Bus LEDs should not be used in non Can Bus applications. Any idea which bulbs locations in the car are CAN Bus/non CAN Bus?

jriggs 05-15-2014 09:37 AM

I have those Ziza LEDs in my E53 and the wife's E70. Bright and flicker free in both trucks.

Ran ones form superbrightleds.com in my old M3 (E36 sedan) and had all sorts of problems with them flickering and burning out.

dadasracecar 05-15-2014 09:05 PM

Interesting. I had superbrightleds bulbs in my e92, e93, and mk6 gti with no problems.
