2003 X5 3.0 air conditioning not cooling
A/C on car just went hot. No cold air coming thru the vents at all.
Saw a couple threads that say just to recharge the system, dont know how effective that will be tho. There has to be a leak. Has anybody had this resolved by going into the dealership? :banghead: -----> :angryfire -------> :explode: |
Mine did this. It was an AC temp module. It it located right of center hump, under the glovebox. It cost me $50. For used part. It looks like a 2x1 inch box with a bunch of little rods on it
There is also one under center console to control the rear AC BMW salvage Stockton auto dismantlers 1-800-235-8733 Bavarian auto recyclers. Sacramento 1-800-269-8970 |

thanks I will look into that tonight |
Hard to say...there was no gradual diminution of performance? A leak could give you a gradual fail..
Can you read schematics? Pretty easy to troubleshoot using a voltmeter to see what is or is not coming on. In general I take AC issues- once I verify basic functioning- to an Auto AC expert. Much cheaper than a BMW dealer, at least for checking operation, recharging, adding leak tracer, etc. GL A |
