Those who have programmed their trailer hitch +AHMU Question?

I tried to program a trailer hitch addtion on an 09. I added +AHMU to the CAS and FRM modules. It doesnt seem to have taken cause the brake lights do not work.

If anyone has done this before, can you give me some insight?

Used NCS-Expert.

I have done it before, you must have missed a step. You need to add the + AHMU to your vehicle order, and then process CAS and FRM

thanks, i followed this procedure to do so, for the CAS and FRM. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...58bjFSrSH8wdMQ

when i look at the VO, it does have +AHMU added in it.

Not sure what may be the issue. the turn signals work and parking lights, just no brake lights. Is there any other way to see if coding was successful?

Sorry to dredge up a very old post, but it is the exact issue i am having with no resolution.
I added a hitch a few years ago and the AHM module and all has been fine. Except the last few times i tried to rent a trailer it seams the all the trailer lights work except the brake lights. It does not matter if the trailer has LED or reg bulbs.
So... i recently added +AHMU to CAS and FRM in VO, but when i use NCExper to access the AHM module (to check that it is set to US region) it get this error stating it is an E65 module and that i can't read it with this ice coding index. I presume this is because i have an e70 Daten file?
Is there a way change it to an E-70 module or should i have to? i would think buy adding it to the VO it would let me edit it or did i miss a step?
Please see attachments.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance.

These are from someone else's before and after trace files

FRM
Those added, no in Before
LWR_STROM_HALT
wert_01
LWR_STROM_NORMAL
wert_01
LWR_STROM_RAMPE
wert_01

KOMBI
AHM_APPL_MONITOR
Before: nicht_aktiv
After : aktiv

RPDC
ANHAENGERKUPPLUNG
Before: nicht_aktiv
After : aktiv

AHK_OFFSET
Before: offset_0
After : offset_1
AHK_AUSBLENDUNG
Before: nicht_aktiv
After : aktiv

Also, as this was already posted by blue dragon, to get ZOOM feature you need to do this:
CIC
MACRO_TRAILER_COUPLING
change to aktiv
Zoom works as soon as you switch to R and use camera, it will be last icon on the screen.

Thanks for the info blue_dragon, my X (2009 3.5D) does not have parking sensors or rear view camera so did not look into those modules, but I will check check for the code strings.
So you don't think the ahm showing up as e65 and not letting me access it is not an issue at this point?

I added the trailering module and tried for days to get the coding right. Never would take or gave errors. Finally gave up and dropped car off at my favorite INDY shop. 2 hours later and $65 poorer, the car was ready and working perfectly. INDY shop uses Autologic.

Yes -
If E70 - select E70 and then this procedure only modifies the VO, but afterwards you must code the car for the changes in the required ECU's to be made.

So, after you hit F3 to "Execute Job", did you have to go to another screen to "Process Car"?

Also, how long do the CAS and FRM updates take, and how long does the "process job"? Did you need to use a power supply on your battery?
