Vapor Canister location?

My wife overfilled the gas tank last week and now the garage smells like fuel after a drive. Does anyone know where the charcoal canister is? I think its inside the passenger rear wheel well but I'm unsure. It smells like the odor may be coming from that general area. I can also hear a motor running from that area.

Does anyone know what the Vapor canister filter is and if the canister can be reloaded with charcoal? Cheapest I can find is 200 bucks. The filter is 70.

I don't have any CEL yet.

I found it ...Right rear inside fender liner and easy to remove.

Question:
Are the flare plastic clips one time use only?

If you're talking about the plastic rivets, I do think so, since when inserted, they retract the inner part, then break.
So when fully extended to be inserted back, the locking pin won't reach the exterior.
You could use screws to replace the inner pin (temporarely, if parts are loose), but should order some from an online supplier.

Thanks!

Do you know if its 07142151750 blind rivet or 51777171004 expanding rivet?

Damn.
Just installed the flares on my X5, and I don't recall which ones fits the rear.
Sorry.

Why are you doing ANYTHING?????

Give it a week, see what happens. Gas is overfilled hundreds if not thousands of times each DAY... and there are no mass 'charcoal replacement issues' being reported.

Give the wife a break.

Funny.

Shall I simply stop the UPPERCASE and multiple exclamations!?!?!?!?

I was, actually, very relaxed- down at the pool with a cerveza and ipad!

I couldn't take the smell any longer and I took it to the dealer. The right fuel pump had a hole from a melting harness on the top. Replaced under aftermarket warranty. Would have cost 1200 dollars otherwise. 700 dollars in labor and 400 dollars for parts and 100 bucks for tax. Its nice to have a fuel smell free garage!
