That rear entertainment system is junk. Don't waste your money.

Interesting. It looks like adaptive drive is just a fancy adjustable swaybar setup.

I have the suspension heavily modified in my M3, so I may just get the X5 without ad if I can't find one :)

1st one! You need those options

I like the first one too, but I'm still not too sure if I should get one without a warranty though. The X isn't a cheap car to fix!!

I may actually skip both and keep on looking. The white on black or Nevada leather is looking pretty hot!!

You have no idea what you are talking about. I have a Moton 2 way adjustable system, remote canisters on the 996TT...... the AD is simply unrelated to that. To assert this means you've not grasped the system.

You want to not spend the money, fine- but be educated about the decision.

Whoa, where did this animosity come from?? I think it's great you got motons and a Porsche, but that doesn't give the right to tell me about how to spend my money!

All I'm saying is that I have a M3 when I want good handling car (the roads and highways around here are pathetically boring), and the X is going to be my commuter.

With very few used X diesels available locally, I don't like the adaptive concept enough to hold out for one. Yes I did do my research and a lot of owners share the same opinion.

i personally wouldnt buy an x5 that wasnt heavily optioned including sport/adaptive drive, 20 inch, just get an mdx if you dont care about handling, i dont see the point of spending all of the money and only getting the shell of a bmw.

I looked high & low, but couldn't find a single used X with adaptive drive. If you guys find me one, I'd consider it.

Otherwise, I don't know how picky I can be in the used market.

I appreciate your feedback. But 20s and good handling is an oxymoron. A heavier wheel will always handle worse, and a tire with too little rubber is likely to the same. Hence I went with 18" wheels for the M3's track wheels.
