Help! Alternator/AC Belts E70 07 X5 3.0si
 

Alternator just went out on my 2007 X5 3.0si. Just replaced the alternator, and after doing to when I fired up the engine the serpentine belt split in half. Half of the belt is still on. I need to figure out how to loosen the A/C belt to remove that in order to remove the serpentine. Also, I got a 4x4/traction error message. At the same time, while my X5 was parked in the garage, I noticed a puddle of transmission fluid underneath, which I am presuming is a bad gasket. Does anyone know how to loosen the A/C belt? HELP!
